Course Curriculum

Module 01: Introduction and Basics

In module one, we will be introduced to the key topics that will be discussed in this course, with a general overview of the skills you will gain throughout.

Module 02: Electrical Units and Ohm’s Law

In module two, we will deepen our knowledge of electrical units and measurements. It also includes an introduction to Ohm’s Law, to understand the relationship between voltage, current and resistance.

Module 03: Direct Current

In module three, we will learn about direct current (DC), with examples. It covers how DC currents work and why they are not suitable for homes.

Module 04: Alternating Current Basics

In module four, we will learn about alternative currents (AC), with examples. It covers how AC currents work, where they are used, and how they are produced.

Module 05: Voltage and Resistance

In module five, we will study the relationship between voltage and resistance, as well as how to calculate resistance. We will also take a closer look at Ohm’s Law.

Module 06: Capacitance and Capacitors

In module six, we will explore the relation between capacitance and capacitors, and the factors affecting capacitance.

Module 07: Magnetism

In module seven, we will learn about the science of magnetism, including the different types of magnetism and the link between magnetism and electricity.
